Free, accurate tools for learners and teachers of Chinese, built around the HSK 3.0 (New HSK) and YCT word lists.
hskcheck.com started as a level checker: paste a Chinese text and see which words are above your HSK level. It has grown into a set of free tools and printables: word lists for HSK 1–3 and YCT 1–4, grammar explanations with worksheets, character writing sheets, a measure word finder and an old HSK to new HSK comparison. Most pages are also available in Thai.
Students preparing for the HSK or the YCT, teachers who need material that matches a level, and parents helping children learn Chinese. Everything is free to use, print and copy for a class.
Word lists follow the official syllabuses and are cross-checked against independently published copies. Every example sentence on the grammar pages is checked by software against the word list for its level, so it uses no word above that level. Stroke data comes from the open Make Me a Hanzi project, and HSK levels 4–9 from complete-hsk-vocabulary. Each page says where its data comes from.
hskcheck.com is an independent site. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the organisers of the HSK or YCT exams. For official exam information, registration and results, use the official exam websites.
hskcheck.com is operated by OUYUN QIQIKE, an individual.
