# Stroke data licence

The files in this folder are generated by `tools/make_stroke_data.py` from
[Make Me a Hanzi](https://github.com/skishore/makemeahanzi) (commit bddc96d).

- **Stroke outlines** (`"s"` in every file) come from `graphics.txt`, which is derived from the
  fonts Arphic PL KaitiM GB and Arphic PL UKai. They are redistributed under the
  **Arphic Public License**: see `ARPHICPL.TXT`.
- **Pinyin** (`"p"` in every file) comes from `dictionary.txt`, derived from Unihan and CJKlib.
  It is redistributed under the **GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3 or later**: see `LGPL.txt`.

The only changes are format changes: whitespace in the SVG paths is compacted, at most three
readings are kept, and the characters are regrouped into level files and shards.
